ABA therapy will help your child develop new skills and change current behaviors using scientifically proven teaching methods.
Although ABA therapy has been primarily proven to help improve individuals with autism, research has proven that ABA can be beneficial in many other diagnoses, but not limited to, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Traumatic Brain injury.
Research indicated that children who start therapy at a young age are able to obtain better outcomes.
- You do not need a diagnosis to begin ABA services, but insurance companies require a diagnosis (Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder etc.) to cover the cost of ABA therapy.
- Some families start with parent consultations, weekly meetings with the BCBA to learn strategies and set goals or pay out of pocket until their child receives a diagnosis.
