Sonia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Science disorders (Speech and Language Pathology) from Wayne State University in 2010. She volunteered at the Wayne State Speech Clinic where she was able to practice her skills. There she encountered children on the spectrum and became fascinated by the diagnosis and behaviors associated with the diagnosis. She then continued her studies in Educational Psychology with an Applied Behavior Analysis emphasis from Wayne state University. Her experience with ABA began with working as a Direct interventionist in Minnesota where she was intensely trained in direct one-on-one therapy. She continued to gain experience in natural environmental teaching and discrete trial training. Sonia enjoys her work as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and continues to achieve the results she aims for. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys spending time outside with her kids and a good book.
